Well where do I start?
That intro makes it sound like I’m up to sooo much fun stuff and have so many interesting facts to share about myself, but it’s all pretty boring really.
I write stories where scary stuff happens, I blog about nonsense, I am an amateur serial killer in the making, and I love snuggling up with my cute little kittens in front of a warm fire (only one of those statements is false).
I enjoy reading, which is a good thing if you want to write, as you need to know how to do it properly! King, Kafka, Palahniuk, Barker, Lovecraft, Jackie Collins; all the greats.
Films, yes I like them. Food, I enjoy eating it. Drums, I love banging them.
I hope to take over the world one day and make everyone listen to ear-shattering grindcore at all times, to only complain that my music is becoming too mainstream.
And that’s it really. Oh yeah, I also have a GSOH, although you’d probably doubt that if you ever met me.

Book Review – The Black Dog Eats the City by Chris Kelso
Most of the time when I finish a book I’m thinking ‘that was good/great/OK etc. Right, what’s next?’ But finishing a book by Chris Kelso forces me to ignore that voice in my head and instead ponder further on exactly… Read More ›

Book Review – Isidora’s Pawn by Erik Hofstatter
Erik Hofstatter’s latest release is officially classed as a novelette. Well, this dark tale of love and loss read more like a flash fiction piece to me. I devoured this beast, and loved every second of it. Orrin is a… Read More ›

Book Review – Year 47 by Bo Chappell
My first journey into Bo Chappell’s Western post-apocalyptic world was the excellent anthology By Year’s End (review here), where a number of writers penned short stories based upon this very book. Perhaps I went about things the wrong way, but… Read More ›

Book Review – Stage 3 by Ken Stark
Zombie novels, eh? This genre of horror is certainly limited in its scope. We all know how the rules work with the undead, so going into a story like this one you kind of know how it’s going to play… Read More ›

Book Review – Broken Shells by Michael Patrick Hicks
I went into this fine novella blind. I’d bought it a while back and added it to the massive TBR pile and as such, had forgotten what it was about. I think I did things right, though because if I’d… Read More ›

Book Review – Seeing Double by Karen Runge
Wow, this book was definitely an experience. And I mean a good one! It won’t be for everyone, but if you like your fiction dark with a capital darrrr, then you can’t go wrong with this story of sexual brutality…. Read More ›

Book Review – The Mortecarni by Kelly Evans
I’m not an avid reader of zombie fiction. I do enjoy the genre but feel I need to pace myself with it as many of the stories in this world tend to be a little samey. Thankfully, that cannot be… Read More ›

Book Review – I Dream of Mirrors by Chris Kelso
This really was a superb read. So superb in fact, it’s a struggle to really put it across in this review. But I’ll give it a bloody good go anyway. This was only my second venture into Chris Kelso’s work…. Read More ›
