Well where do I start?

That intro makes it sound like I’m up to sooo much fun stuff and have so many interesting facts to share about myself, but it’s all pretty boring really.

I write stories where scary stuff happens, I blog about nonsense, I am an amateur serial killer in the making, and I love snuggling up with my cute little kittens in front of a warm fire (only one of those statements is false).

I enjoy reading, which is a good thing if you want to write, as you need to know how to do it properly! King, Kafka, Palahniuk, Barker, Lovecraft, Jackie Collins; all the greats.

Films, yes I like them. Food, I enjoy eating it. Drums, I love banging them.

I hope to take over the world one day and make everyone listen to ear-shattering grindcore at all times, to only complain that my music is becoming too mainstream.

And that’s it really. Oh yeah, I also have a GSOH, although you’d probably doubt that if you ever met me.

• Book Review – Whispers in the Dark by Laurel Hightower

  By Morgan K Tanner on April 10, 2020 • ( 0 )

I’d heard many great things about this novel from reviewers, bloggers, and Twitterites who’s opinions are usually spot on. So what took me so long to get around to reading it? Well let’s not get bogged down with the details,… Read More ›

• Book Review – Where Dragonflies Dance by A. A. Medina

  By Morgan K Tanner on April 3, 2020 • ( 3 )

Man, this is one dark book. Although should I have expected anything less? A. A. Medina’s novella, Siphon is a book to be read through gnarled fingers, such is the graphic nature of many of its scenes. So this second… Read More ›

• Self-publishing and How Difficult it is; A Kind of Guide (with pictures!!)

  By Morgan K Tanner on March 29, 2020 • ( 8 )

I am a self-published author. Say it with me!!!!! There was perhaps a time when saying this was akin to opening up to an addiction in a room of strangers, earning tokens in exchange for divulging intimate secrets. Before I… Read More ›

• Book Review – The Celestial Assignment by Theresa Braun

  By Morgan K Tanner on March 26, 2020 • ( 0 )

I have to admit, a story about guardian angels didn’t exactly have me salivating when I first heard about it; I prefer my angels fallen and rebelling. But knowing this was a Theresa Braun story I knew it wasn’t going… Read More ›

• Book Review – Five Doses by Mark Cassell

  By Morgan K Tanner on March 23, 2020 • ( 0 )

This collection of five stories reads more like an anthology. Each tale is so varied that you’d be forgiven for thinking they were written by five different authors. And that, is a great thing. There are many horror elements on… Read More ›

If you’re a lover of horror and/or flash fiction, then chances are you are probably familiar with the work of Calvin Demmer. And if not you really should be. His collection, The Sea Was a Fair Master is one of… Read More ›

• Book Review – Remains by Andrew Cull

  By Morgan K Tanner on March 9, 2020 • ( 5 )

I’ve read a lot of scary books over the years, and quite a few involving creepy, supposedly ‘haunted’ houses. Most were really good, some were even great, but this debut novel by Andrew Cull is certainly the scariest I can… Read More ›

• Book Review – The Cenotaph of Dreams by Prince Cavallo

  By Morgan K Tanner on March 2, 2020 • ( 6 )

I bought this collection after reading an announcement of its release on the author’s blog. It sounded interesting so I snapped it up right away. It sat on my Kindle for a while – longer than I’d planned, but I… Read More ›

• Book Review – Edge of the Breach by Halo Scot

  By Morgan K Tanner on February 23, 2020 • ( 5 )

I don’t really know where to begin with this review. I suppose I should say straight away that this horror/post-apocalyptic/grimdark fantasy book is absolutely superb! Yeah, that’s a good start. Set in the very distant future, the 7000s to be… Read More ›
