Prepare Your Souls for The Mind’s Plague

Hello there.

To those of you who’ve semi-followed me on this blog for a bit, you’re maybe aware that in January I released my debut novella, An Army of Skin. The handful of reviews I’ve had have been extremely humbling and I thank each person who has taken the time to read and review my little story.

I suppose I should be concentrating on promoting the hell out of that beast right now, but alas, I’m already planning the release of my collection of short stories.

The Mind’s Plague and Other Bites of Brutality will be unleashed on this desolate and unforgiving world on August 22nd 2019. And that’s like, all official and stuff. Although you can’t pre-order it yet, I’m not that organised!

And how about that for a cover? The brutally awesome M.R. Tapia is again responsible for the artwork, as well as the editing and formatting – he’s earning his stripes with me I can tell you!

The collection will feature 8 short stories and 2 flash fictions, and stuff that’s not very nice happens in all of them, sorry.

If you’re interested, here is the full track listing;

The Mind’s Plague. Three teenagers search for a mysterious internet video.

An Abhorrent Art. A city built from human body parts.

For David. An obsessed superfan laments the loss of their idol.

Conflagration Desecration. A drummer finds the perfect band to join, everything seems too good to be true.

The Price of Fame. A man goes to evil extremes to become internet-famous.

Reluctant Bloodlust. Obligatory zombie tale, but told through the eyes of the undead.

Thieves. Things go almost Lovecrafty for a couple of burglars.

Grieving. A father is sent to madness following the loss of his daughter.

As Good as Dead. A man awakes with no memory of the atrocities witnessed before sleep.

Room 405. A creepy hotel vibe, with a couple of ghosts thrown in the mix.

I think that will do you for now, I don’t want to put you off with an information overload, because I’m kind like that! But I’ll surely be posting more stuff about this, as I’m very excited and want to shout it to the world.

Hopefully I won’t put you off with all this “Hey, look at me and my stories,” before then.

Then being August 22nd 2019, in case you’d forgotten.

Many thanks for reading!!!!
