Well where do I start?
That intro makes it sound like I’m up to sooo much fun stuff and have so many interesting facts to share about myself, but it’s all pretty boring really.
I write stories where scary stuff happens, I blog about nonsense, I am an amateur serial killer in the making, and I love snuggling up with my cute little kittens in front of a warm fire (only one of those statements is false).
I enjoy reading, which is a good thing if you want to write, as you need to know how to do it properly! King, Kafka, Palahniuk, Barker, Lovecraft, Jackie Collins; all the greats.
Films, yes I like them. Food, I enjoy eating it. Drums, I love banging them.
I hope to take over the world one day and make everyone listen to ear-shattering grindcore at all times, to only complain that my music is becoming too mainstream.
And that’s it really. Oh yeah, I also have a GSOH, although you’d probably doubt that if you ever met me.

Book Review – Sectioned by Astrid Addams
Sectioned, as you may gather from the title, is about a mental institution. But instead of this being the tale of a young woman experiencing the hardships of a life being locked up with a load of crazies, it details… Read More ›

What I’ve Been Reading These Last 6 Months or so
Around six months ago I posted a blog on books I’d read but hadn’t reviewed, for one reason or another. And here I am again. It seems like this is to become a biannual occurrence. I don’t review every book… Read More ›

Book Review – Toroa by Erik Hofstatter
I’ll admit, the premise of this book didn’t draw me in initially. I’d enjoyed the fantastic Rare Breeds by Erik Hofstatter and thought that that story was a man on top form. Perhaps I worried that this wouldn’t live up… Read More ›

Book Review – Wagon Buddy by Steve Stred
This fine novella from Steve Stred took me little to no time at all to get through. I wasn’t sure what to expect, judging from the creepy-if-you-look-it-in-the-right-kinda-way cover, and the blurb about an imaginary friend. But once I got started… Read More ›

Book Review – Broken on the Inside by Phil Sloman
The five excellent short stories on offer here all follow a similar theme; insanity. Characters who are ‘on the verge’ are always fascinating to me. A protagonist or antagonist who’s mental state makes them unpredictable is always a great hook,… Read More ›

Book Review – Nightbird by David Busboom
Ah, those pesky succubi, eh? Sexy demon monsters seducing hapless fools. It’s a story that’s been told since stories have been told, I think. We’ve all heard about them, whether it be the seductive succubus or the psexy psiren; tales… Read More ›
